Job Summary
Standard is seeking an experienced and dedicated Human Resources Manager to join our team. The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all HR functions within the company, ensuring that we continue to foster a positive and productive workplace culture while adhering to employment laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management, with a focus on employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, and training development.
Responsibilities
Employee Relations:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee concerns and inquiries.
- Foster positive relationships and open communication between management and staff.
- Address and resolve employee grievances, disputes, and disciplinary actions, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Performance Management:
- Oversee the performance review process, providing guidance to managers on performance evaluations, goal-setting, and employee development.
- Develop and implement performance improvement plans as necessary.
- Support the identification of high-potential employees and work to retain top talent.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Administer and manage employee compensation programs, ensuring competitiveness and equity in pay practices.
- Oversee benefits enrollment and administration, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
- Review and recommend improvements to compensation and benefits offerings to ensure employee satisfaction and retention.
Compliance & Policy Management:
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR best practices and legal changes to ensure the company’s policies and practices remain compliant.
- Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with the company’s mission and values.
Training & Development:
- Identify training needs and opportunities for employee development across all levels of the organization.
- Design and deliver training programs related to leadership, diversity, safety, and other professional development topics.
- Promote continuous learning and support career development initiatives.
HR Administration:
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, including employment history, performance appraisals, and personal information.
- Manage HR-related software and tools to track and report on HR metrics (e.g., turnover, recruitment, training progress).
- Prepare and submit HR reports to senior management as required.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- PHR (Professional in Human Resources) or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and regulations.
- Experience in construction or manufacturing industries a plus.
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in HR software, Microsoft Office Suite, and payroll systems.
Compensation
Salary range: $80,000 – $85,000
Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Standard reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
