NY State Energy Program 

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) oversees multiple home energy efficiency programs. Eligibility varies from program to program, and availability may be limited, depending on the county you live in and your household income. However, more than 90% of Upstate New Yorkers qualify for some assistance through NY State energy programs. Clean Heat Program

EmPower New York 

With EmPower+, Standard has helped more than 4,000 households throughout Upstate New York get free and low-cost energy upgrades. Qualifying renters and homeowners get access to completely free home improvements, such as insulation upgrades, installation of efficient HVAC equipment, and more. The EmPower New York program is a comprehensive NYSERDA program that assesses the whole home’s energy use. It includes a detailed inspection to see how the home is insulated and how it uses energy. Technicians will use the results to make relevant recommendations to enhance efficiency and comfort.
