Standard Partners with Sleep in Heavenly Peace – Utica Chapter to Sponsor Monthly Community Builds

Standard is proud to announce its partnership with the Utica Chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP), a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring that no child sleeps on the floor. Through this collaboration, Standard will cover the cost of every monthly community bed build in 2025, providing vital resources and volunteer support to help SHP achieve its mission.

As part of this sponsorship, Standard is issuing a challenge to local businesses: sponsor a bed build and join the effort to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families throughout the community. Standard will match the sponsor’s donation (one per month), ensuring the costs of SHP’s monthly community bed builds are fully covered.

“At Standard, we believe that comfort goes beyond heating and cooling — it’s about delivering whole-home solutions that provide residents with comfort and peace of mind,” said Jennifer Keida, Owner/CEO of Standard Heating, Cooling & Insulating. “Partnering with Sleep in Heavenly Peace allows us to extend that mission by helping to provide children with the beds they need for a comfortable night’s sleep. Giving back to the community is a core value for us and we’re excited to sponsor these monthly builds and inspire other businesses to get involved.”

Key Highlights of the Partnership:

  • Business Challenge: Standard will engage local businesses to sponsor a bed build. Standard will match the donation of one bed build per month, covering SHP’s monthly community build costs.
  • Monthly Community Builds: Standard’s financial and volunteer support helps ensure that SHP Utica Chapter’s community builds are fully equipped to achieve their goals. Volunteers come together to assemble and deliver beds — complete with mattresses, pillows, and bedding — to children in need.
  • Volunteering: Standard employees will actively participate in builds and bed deliveries, directly contributing to hundreds of children and families in the area.

“The work we do at Sleep in Heavenly Peace wouldn’t be possible without the support of partners like Standard Heating, Cooling & Insulating,” said Bill Gagnon, President of SHP Utica Chapter. “Their sponsorship ensures we can continue providing beds to children in need, and their challenge to local businesses inspires a ripple effect of community care and involvement.”
